About Us - My Story

Hello, I'm Tom, A Little History About Me

Here is a little bit about the owner, I learned the Old School Stone Wheel Hand Engraving method of hand engraving , also known as Carborundum Wheel Hand Engraving, or Copper Wheel Engraving at a early young age of 15, when in high school I worked the summers at my uncle’s engraving shop in Brooklyn, NY. After a couple of summers working hard to perfect the art of hand engraving, I took a full-time position at my uncle’s engraving shop, later running the engraving division. In the 90’s I saw the birth of the internet and knew that would be the future. So, I designed and created my

first website and call it www.tomsglassworks.com which was created in 1995. Back when the internet was in it’s infancy, when there were no shopping carts and the only way to sell your products was through eBay primarily. As the internet grew and shopping carts became the standard and the company grew many times over with many changes to the website with the expansion of more products and engraving methods. Tom expanded into the art of sandblasting that offered a different look and method of engraving on his glassware products, also complimenting the wheel engraving and gave his customers engraving choices. Due to a divorce www.tomsglassworks.com was sold in 2015 after 20 years of hard work and dedication to its customers, giving his customers quality engraving at low discount pricing, fast delivery times and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
